Kathy's
Cabin is a North Carolina log cabin located on a hillside in the Deep
Creek area just outside of Bryson City, North Carolina. Enjoy
the quiet setting in the mountains and still be close to the
unique shops and dining of Sylva, Dillsboro and Waynesville.
Cherokee, with Harrah's casino, is only about 15 minutes away.
The
Great Smoky Mountain National Park is just minutes away. There
you'll find hiking to waterfalls, quiet trails, scenic vistas,
fishing and wildlife viewing.

your getaway in our hideaway.

Nestled
up in the hills around the popular Deep Creek area of the Smoky
Mountain National Park, you'll find Kathy's Deep Creek Cabin.
A 2 story, 2 full bedroom, 2 bath log cabin with all the features
you want in a long term vacation rental. Queen size beds in both
bedrooms and a queen size sleeper sofa allow ample sleeping space for family or friends.
On the back porch
you'll find a hot tub to relax in after a day of hiking, tubing
or whitewater rafting, all within a short distance of Kathy's
cabin. Decorated with a Hiking/Camping theme, you'll also see
many photos of the local area taken by Kathy and myself.

Inside, a fully stocked
kitchen awaits those who like to cook their own meals. Outside is a charcoal grill. You'll
also find for your convenience, a microwave, toaster, coffee pot,
dishwasher, washer and dryer. Satellite TV, DVD player, Gas Fireplace/Stove for the winter as well as central heat and air. Local phone service is also provided.

Kathy's
cabin is pet friendly. As pet owners ourselves, we do ask that you
be a responsible pet owner and remember that other people will use
the cabin after you. A pet fee is required and you will be responsible
for any damage your pet causes. Don't forget to bring your pets bed
as they are not allowed up on the furniture. |

Whitewater Rafting,
Cool!
Not far from the
log cabin and just west of Bryson City is the Nantahala Outdoor
Center and the Nantahala River. For some real fun try some Whitewater
Rafting in the Smokies. Go on a guided or self guided trip down
the river and enjoy the view of the Nantahala River and the surrounding
area. Whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River is very popular
from March to October especially on weekends.

You have the option
for a guided trip or rental rafts and ducky's. You can also combine
rafting with a scenic train ride on the Great Smoky Mountains
Railroad which runs between Bryson City and the Nantahala Outdoor
Center. The half-day Nantahala rafting trip has Class II-III rapids,
ending at the Class III Nantahala Falls, where NOC photographers
take your photo.
